🧵 The complete amigurumi kit

The Ricorumi Friend Set by Rico Design is a complete amigurumi kit designed for anyone who wants to create a sweet crocheted character without having to source materials separately. Everything you need is already in the box: 3 skeins of 100% Ricorumi cotton, 1 skein of Ricorumi Spray for special details, a crochet hook, an embroidery needle, and detailed step-by-step instructions.

Each skein weighs 25g and offers 25.5 meters of soft, easy-to-work yarn. The mini size is perfect for amigurumi projects, where small quantities of different colors are needed to create highly detailed characters. The kit also includes 3 additional yarn wraps to expand your creative possibilities.

🧬 Certified safe cotton for children

Ricorumi cotton is certified saliva-proof according to the 100 by OEKO-TEX Standard, which means it is safe for making toys intended for children, even the youngest. This certification guarantees that the yarn contains no harmful substances and can be used to create dolls, rattles, and amigurumi that children can touch and put in their mouths without risk.

The 100% cotton offers softness, durability, and a smooth texture that makes working with it pleasant and the final result long-lasting. It does not fray, lose color, or lose its shape even after numerous washes—essential qualities for a handmade toy that needs to last over time.

✨ Ricorumi Spray: details that make the difference

The kit includes one skein of Ricorumi Spray, a special yarn with a gradient effect that allows you to create unique textures and details on the Friend character. This yarn adds visual depth and makes the doll more interesting, with natural color transitions that enrich the design without having to change skeins constantly.

The spray effect is particularly effective for creating hair, tails, facial details, or decorative elements that need to stand out from the main body of the amigurumi. It is a creative touch that sets Ricorumi projects apart from those made with standard solid-color yarns.

🧶 Working and instructions

The kit is designed for an intermediate difficulty level: it is suitable for those who already know the basic crochet stitches (chain, single crochet, increases, and decreases) and want to try a structured project. The detailed instructions included in the kit guide you step by step through the creation of the Friend character, with clear diagrams and precise directions on where to change colors and how to assemble the parts.

You work with a 2.5-3mm crochet hook, a size that guarantees a compact and durable fabric, ideal for amigurumi where it is important that the stuffing does not peek through the stitches. The estimated completion time is approximately 3-4 hours for those who already have experience with the amigurumi technique.

✨ Why choose the Ricorumi Friend Set

Compared to other amigurumi kits on the market, the Ricorumi Friend Set stands out for the certified quality of the cotton and the inclusion of Ricorumi Spray yarn, which not all kits offer. While many basic kits provide only solid-color skeins, Rico Design adds an extra creative element that makes the final character richer and more professional.

The practical advantage is twofold: on one hand, you have the assurance of a product certified for children, and on the other, you save time and money by avoiding purchasing yarns, needles, and instructions separately. Everything is coordinated and ready to use, perfect for those who want to start right away without wasting time searching for the right materials.

🎨 What you can make

With the Ricorumi Friend Set, you make a complete amigurumi character approximately 15cm tall, perfect as a gift for children, a nursery decoration, or a handmade playmate. The Friend design is sweet and reassuring, with soft shapes and delicate colors that appeal to both children and adults.

👩‍🎨 Who it is suitable for

This kit is perfect for hobbyists with basic crochet experience who want to move from flat projects (such as dishcloths or doilies) to three-dimensional works. It is not recommended for those who have never crocheted, but it is ideal for those who already know the basic stitches and want to learn the amigurumi technique with a guided project.

It is typically purchased by mothers who want to create safe toys for their children, handmade enthusiasts looking for creative projects to give as gifts, and artisans who make dolls to order and appreciate the certified quality of Rico Design yarn.
