🧵 Sequins
The Smooth Round Sequins 25mm are highly eye-catching decorative elements, designed for those looking for large sequins for crochet bags and fashion accessories. With a diameter of 25 mm and a 5 mm side hole, these smooth PVC sequins offer an immediate shiny effect that catches the light and enhances every detail of your handmade creations.
Each package contains approximately 25/30 grams of sequins (approx. 38-50 pieces depending on the color), available in 9 color variants: white, silver, gold, black, red, green, blue, fuchsia, and gunmetal. Their generous size makes them perfect for visible and eye-catching decorations on any surface.
🧬 Material and finish: why it works
Smooth PVC is the ideal material for decorative sequins because it ensures lightness, durability, and a shiny effect that lasts over time. Unlike metal sequins, PVC does not oxidize, does not lose color, and retains its shine even after gentle washing. The smooth surface reflects light evenly, creating an elegant luminous effect without being excessive.
The shiny finish is achieved through a surface treatment that amplifies light reflection, making every sequin visible even from afar. This makes them perfect for crochet bags, fashion accessories, and decorations that need to catch attention without weighing down the project.
📦 Package size and performance
Each package contains 25/30 grams of sequins, equivalent to approximately 38-50 pieces depending on the color density. With a diameter of 25 mm, a single package is sufficient to completely decorate a small clutch (15x20 cm) with scattered application, or to create decorative patterns on a medium-sized bag.
For larger projects such as full crochet bags or full coverings, we recommend purchasing 3-4 packages of the same color to ensure color uniformity. Sequins may show slight shade variations between different batches, so it is always preferable to purchase the required quantity all at once.
🧶 Recommended application
The 5 mm side hole is designed to facilitate sewing with needle and strong thread. This size allows standard sewing threads (thickness 40-60) and waxed threads for working on faux leather or thick fabrics to pass through easily. The side hole allows the sequin to be fixed flat on the support, ensuring a stable and durable application.
For crochet bags, we recommend applying the sequins during the work, passing the thread directly through the hole and integrating them into the stitch. For applications on fabric, felt, or faux leather, use a sturdy sewing needle and strong thread in a matching or transparent color. Sequins can be applied individually for scattered effects or layered for full coverage.
✨ Why choose the Smooth Round Sequins 25mm
Compared to small sequins (6-10 mm), the 25 mm sequins offer an immediate visual impact and require less application time to cover large surfaces. While small sequins are ideal for delicate embroidery, these large ones are perfect for those looking for a dramatic effect on bags, accessories, and fashion decorations. The 5 mm hole makes them easier to sew compared to models with small holes (2-3 mm), reducing the risk of thread breakage during application.
In everyday life, you will immediately notice the difference: your crochet bags will catch the light elegantly, fashion accessories will gain a professional touch of glamour, and handmade decorations will have a shiny finish that lasts over time. Smooth PVC does not scratch, does not deform, and retains its shine even after repeated use.
🎨 What you can create
The Smooth Round Sequins 25mm are perfect for glamorous crochet bags, evening clutches, fashion accessories such as belts and headbands, decorations on dresses and costumes for special events. Also ideal for creative handmade projects, scrapbooking, and home decor.
These sequins are suitable for both beginners and experts: the wide 5 mm hole makes application easier even for those who are just starting out, while the generous size allows for dramatic results in a short time. No advanced experience is needed to apply them correctly.
They are typically purchased by hobbyists who make crochet bags, artisans who create fashion accessories to order, those looking for decorations for special events (weddings, parties, costumes), and those who love creative DIY. Also perfect for anyone who wants to personalize existing garments with a glamorous touch.
